Please help Jessica with her Kidney Transplant due to end stage renal disease, your donation can save her life!

Jessica Martinez recently turned 18 and graduated McCall-Donnelly High School. Less than three weeks ago she learned that she had end stage renal disease. End stage renal disease, means kidney failure. Jessica's kidneys have less than 12% capability and are nearing 100% failure.

Jessica's current and future challenges are incredible and numerous but there is hope for a quality life for Jessica - a kidney transplant.

Jessica is hoping with your help she will be able to face the enormous financial burden of her current and future transplant expenses. A kidney transplant costs approximately $250,000, and that's only the beginning. She still has pre-transplant care in Boise, 90 miles away from her home 2-3 times per week. Dialysis is incredibly expensive and food, gas, and hotel expenses are not covered by any insurances.

Jessica has some support through Medicare / Medicaid but her out-of-pocket expenses will most likely exceed $100,000 or more, not including her post transplant care and travel expenses and costs for anti-rejection medications she will have to take every day for the rest of her life to keep her new kidney healthy. The cost of post-transplant medications can range from $2,000 to $5,000 per month; they are as critical to her survival as the transplant itself.

Jessica needs your help to live. If you are unable to donate please tell a friend about this site: www.helpjessicanow.com. Your donation or your effort to help Jessica will make a big difference in her life!

Jessica needs your help to obtain her kidney transplant. She is working with the University of Utah - The University of Utah Kidney Transplant Program is a comprehensive program that has been caring for patients with end-stage renal disease since 1965. In 1977, the program became a Medicare-approved center. The program has consistently maintained a high volume of adult and pediatric kidney transplants while achieving graft and survival rates higher than the national average. Our Kidney Transplant Program takes a multidisciplinary approach, providing patients access to a team of health care professionals who are experienced in all medical and surgical aspects of transplantation. The team consists of board-certified adult and pediatric transplant nephrologists.
